Excavations for Persimmon Homes Yorkshire and Redrow Homes Yorkshire revealed a regionally significant early Romano-British settlement.
Acting for Persimmon Homes Yorkshire and Redrow Homes Yorkshire, MAP carried out archaeological excavations at Low Street, Sherburn in Elmet.
The work revealed an early Romano-British settlement on the Magnesium Limestone Ridge. The remains, dating from the late first to early second century, were assessed as being of regional significance.
