MAP's excavations at Burnby Lane uncovered a significant Iron Age cemetery of square barrows, a burial tradition associated with the Arras culture of East Yorkshire.
The discovery of a chariot burial with its horses attracted national attention in 2017, and the project was recognised as Rescue Project of the Year in 2018.
The site shows how developer-led archaeology, managed carefully alongside construction, can deliver discoveries of national importance.
